Good evening all

I would like to inquire, im willing to purchase a laser machine for cutting metallic and non metallic materials
for the metallic material i want to cut a 2-3mm Silicon steel that is used in transformers.
for the non-metallic material i want to cut a 6mm EPDM Rubber sheet to make Rubber gasket.
im not sure what type of laser machine i should look for, CO2 laser machine is good for non metallic materials but not good for metallic material. Fiber laser machines are designed for metallic materials only.
can you please help me with the type of machine i should look for and also what is the recommended power of the machine.

Thank you

We have a laser but pretty much all we do is steel so I'm not vary familiar with what the limits are.

A water jet table may be of interest for you. My understanding is they are pretty versatile. No personal experience with them though.

May I ask why EPDM does not cut well with a Laser ? and what type of laser you are referring to ?

The cut edges of a laser-cut rubber sheet will be charred and gummy from being burned by the laser.

Water jet, ask a supplier to run a test.
Take some of your designs and have them cut a few
