Anyone know any good reference texts for permanent magnet design?
I am working with Neodymium magnets and i am designing systems where the magnets are placed on a hub and used in conjunction with another hub to form a coupler or reduction from one shaft to another and i am trying to optimize the shapes of the magnets for my needs.

Any help would be great.

The Moskowitz book is very good for the application you mentioned.

However, you may be better served by contacting an engineer at a magnet company. A straightforward magnetic coupling is pretty simple to design & source. A coupler to produce a gear reduction is a very complex design.

Thanks for the FAQ link... and your opinion.
