I would like to get some information about different Graphic cards which will give reasonably good performance with SE. Can some one give me a comparitive study of ATI and Nvidea cards (Not high end)
Thanks

Nvidia cards (the GeForce vs ATI's Radeon) are much better for SE. I switched from a very low end Nvidia (a TNT2) to a Radeon 9000 series and, although the TNT2 was slower, I had many fewer problems with screen ghosting, end-trails, and all around graphics sporads. I run a GeForce2 at home and only come across a problem with multiple windows open, and that problem is just performance loss. I do not get graphic left-overs with the nVidia cards.

Also, if you are into it, you can make the GeForce cards softquadro. If you haven't ever heard of it, check out the guru of 3d ( -- I think). It essentially converts your GeForce card into a high end Quadro card. I've heard by many that it works well, I personally haven't tried it.
