thread332-13855 Is there anyone who can tell my how to coat a fine SS mesh with graphite? I had heard of a process where it was done in a fluidised/pebble bed furnace. Any help?

Haven't heard of a fluidized bed process for Graphite Coatings.

Depending on your end use requirements one approach would be to use a solid film Graphite lubricant. In our process we use the Henkel Aquadag to coat all fasteners on our polymer lines. No fastener is made up without the Aquadag coating. The coating is quite tenacious. To remove it we cycle the fasteners through a Pyrolysis Furnace, then re coat. I would contact Henkel with the particulars of you problem.
