Hello, speaking automotive sector, the Volkswagen workshop manual says that some bolts must be tightened to Tot nm + 90 °. How should I orient myself considering these variables?
The first assembly bolts are greenish, the new ones I bought are gray with something that look like zinc coat, are both original. Why they are different? Will the zinc create more friction while installing compared with the greenish ones? These bolts are one use also. Are the bolts originally oiled or dry? are they degreased before assembly? I would like to use anti-seize liquid to avoid corrosion but I have no idea if I am going to change the clamping force. The last thing I want to do is damage the chassis thread.I imagine that in the design the use or not of threadlockers or various greases are considered. Is there anyone who has worked in auto assembly who can give me some clarification?
