Dear All,
I am a student just starting out on my structural engineering education. I have an interest in parametric design and structural analysis.
The below image shows a grid shell concept design I am creating for personal development. Having translated the analytical model into my analysis software I don't know what type of end-releases I should be specifying for my members (Pinned-Pinned) (Fixed-Pinned) (Pinned-Fixed) or should I leave the default rigid connection, assuming I use a similar connection detail to that shown in the second and third image which End-Release should I specify for my members.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize for my naivety.
