Is there a reference table showing all the different correlations and relationships between different soil parameters? Such as PI can be correlated to Angle of Shear etc.

Of course, you will find correlations in many of the available soil mechanic and foundation engineering textbooks and handbooks. Carter and Bently wrote a book "Correlations of Soil Properites" (Pentech Press, 1991).

Thanks for the response. What i am looking for is a one or two page cheatsheet or table summarising what correlations yield what parameters. Then I can decide what I would like to correlate from my PI value (for example) and do further research into this via Carter/Bentley or Ameratunga/Sivakugan/Das books.

DM 7.1 has all sorts of correlations. Lade and Lee also published on correlations. CGPR (Virginia Tech) has correlations to SPT. Paul Mayne, correlations to cone penetrometer.

There are correlations to permeability, based on grain size.

There are water content correlations to secondary compression.

To get them on one or two pages, that's the tough call!

Thanks for your input, I think i might be clutching at straw on this one. I was hoping there would be a useful table/chart floating around the internet or in book that I could stick on my wall as a quick reference.

Neforun21 - you can always cut and paste and make your own . . .

The back pages have cheat sheets related to the correlations in the "Manual for estimating soil properties for foundation design" otherwise you are best to reference the table of contents of other publications.
