Ground Testing Requirements

I am unable to find any ground testing requirements in the NEC. Does the NEC require performance testing of the ground system? The EOR had a lot of grounding testing in the specifications however the contractor has stated all the testing was VE out and he says he doesn't plan to perform any testing data to me for the ground. This project is a high rise and I would like to verify or witness the Ohms reading of the ground. Does the NEC not require the contractor to provide proof of the Ohms reading for the ground?
