Ground water tank.

I need step by step description of the design the ground water tank.
I have not been involved in this design before, that is why I need any help

There are many text type books available for the design of tanks. I have found that the best source available is the PCA (Portland cement assn of USA) book 'Circular concrete tanks without prestressing'. This publication has been around for many years & is still favoured by many structural engineers.

The curves for tension in the walls have been derived by many authors over the last 50+ years & they tend to be very close to each other. I have publications by Gray & Manning (1960), Gray (1964), Billington & others, & these curves for load distribution are very similar to the PCI publication & to the latest by Amin Ghali (using matrix analysis).

Most tanks are designed using a hinged base & the explanation best describing this, is in the PCI publication.

USA codes (ACI318 & ACI350) are used as a basis in this publication using both ultimate & working stress design.

The Australian code (AS3735) only uses working stress design because the committee could not come to a satisfactory conclusion as to a design based on crack widths (such as BS8007) because the crack width calculations from many authors were not consistent in the results. The conclusion (for the Australian code) was that the crack width is a servicability limit state & is best assessed by limiting steel stresses to 150 MPa (about 21,000 psi) in tension for a 12 dia bar (lower stresses for larger bars) & a lower stress for a bar in bending.

Your design will probably be based on the code for your country because (usually) any peer review of your design will use the code of the relevant country.

Check on AWWA Manuals. I know they have one on steel tanks, not sure about concrete.
