Hello

Does any one have the complete GWS OWSJ catalog (metric and imperial) that Can be sent to me?

I am working on an old building and the drawings show joitst with designations such as 14C10 owsj, 24F owsj, 60" deep owsj and 48" deep owsj.
I believe thay are GWS joists since the top and bottome chords are shown as hats. I am looking for the GWS joist load tables and section properties
Thanks

I have one copy of both imperial and metric GWS catalogs but I don't want to lose them. If you are unable to find a copy, I could post the pages you need. Also, do a search of the Eng_Tips Structural Forum using GWS as keyword.

A 14C10 is a 14" deep joist with Type C and B top and bottom chord respectively. I never did know what the 10 stood for. A 24F is 24" deep with F/E top/bottom chords.

A 60" or 48" deep OWSJ tells you nothing more than the overall depth.

Thanks BA
If you could post the pages for the 24F, 14C10 OWSJs, I will be very grateful

Please also post the pages for their 48" and 60" OWSJs

Thank you

BAretired - perhaps you could get them over to SlideRuleEra's web page where they could be accessed.

resby,
The catalog has 35 pages with load tables up to 120'. I have included all the essential properties of the joists and load tables up to 30'. If you need more, let me know but I thought you should be able to calculate everything from the properties.

I have not included the metric tables. If you need these, I could provide them in a separate post.

JAE,
I haven't tried to include this in SlidRuleEra's page yet. Do you think this is enough or should the entire 35 pages be included?
