I am wondering if H2S can be removed from water by vacuum flashing. I've read that the main methods for removal are oxidation and filtration, but I can't find anything discussing the use of vacuum systems as a means of mechanical removal. The water is going to a boiler so oxidation is not desirable. Inlet concentration is around 15 ppm and we would like to get 3-5 ppm at the outlet. pH is around 8 (would this need to be lowered?). The water also has ~20 ppm CO2 that we want to remove as well.
Any comments are much appreciated! Thanks!
