I am looking for the basic chemistry of common liquid H2S scavengers. Can anyone help by providing the names of these chemicals? Thank you.

Any basic compound
Destination of neutralized stream plays key role

Many H2S scanvergers will be amines at least those used upstream in O&G,

Best regards

You might get different answers if you told us the scale of the project. How many SCFM of gas are you dealing with? What are the H2S concentrations coming in? Going out?

Oil field? Labratory? Chemical Plant?

You can also look at formaldehyde, or try morphysorb, or even any kind of amine will be a scavenger, DGA, MDEA, MEA. Even sulfolane will likely work. Let's face it, water will also work if you have enough of it.

Thank you for all the responses. I have been able to compile a list of fluids.
