Handrail Extension Clear Idea

Have any one clear idea about the handrail extension from the center of post. some structural they shown 1'-0" extension from center of post to outer edge of P-shape, another one design refers center of post to center of end P-shape pipe.and some design the 1'-0" extension from the center of post to start of bent location(corner radius bent).

I think the handrail is supposed to extend 12" past the nose of the bottom tread. Check OSHA to be sure.
 
We use past the nosing to outside of rail tube.

Agree...nosing to outside of rail loop. In US that's an ADA requirement
 
For handrail extension requirement in the IBC, see the §1014.6 in the 2015 edition, and §1012.6 in the 2012 and 2009.
 
I've seen them delivered to the site with sleeves like a slide trombone. They get welded after ADA approval. (ADA lawsuits are big here).
