Hastalloy C276 Tube Bending 1

Hello All,
I work with a sensor in which a small section of 1/16" seamless 316 SS is used to convey vacuum to a probe. I may transition to a Hastalloy C276 pipe, but I know nothing about bending Hastalloy C276. Does anyone here have any ideas on best practices for bending small tube of this type ?

Hastelloy C grades of tubing bend very similar to austenitic stainless steel tubes. The tube material is stronger and hence takes more force to bend, but the tooling and methods used to bend the tube will be the same. But good luck finding the 1/16" Hastelloy tubing- it's not common. Also be careful NOT to specify C276 specifically if C22 or another similar C grade will do for your application. Coriolis meter tubes are all made of C22 rather than C276 and I'm sure that's for a reason.

Thanks MM. That's good advice. I have a fabricator, who has a source for the 1/16" Hastelloy tubing. I can't find it myself, but I'm glad to have a path
