hello

My problem is that only part of a section that should be hatched is displayed. It is a simple tube with a flange welded on one end. It is one part. The flange has four holes on a PCD. On the section to the inside of these holes, the hatching is displayed. From the outer side of these holes to the outside of the flange the hatching is not shown. Hope this is clear.

- The hatching does not show up in print preview, nor does it actually print the hatch. ie. probably not a video card problem.
- Incidently i have breaks in the tube as it is fairly long. This may have an effect??
- I have tried to replicate it on another simplified section but to no avail.
- I have resectioned the tube several times, and came up with the same result.
- Changing the section size, toggling hatch on/off, and changing the hatch type does not have any effect.
- The area that does not show the hatch has hatch properties, but they are simply not shown. i.e. I can right click>properties, and the hatch properties dialogue box appears. Any changes to these properties change the other displayed hatch properties, when view is selected rather than region.
- I have a sectioned view of the same tube, in an assembly. In this view the hatch is shown between the pcd holes and the outer side of the flange. (This view also has a break).
- I am running 2001+ SP6.

Any clues will be greatly appreciated

Ryan

Maybe.....

Check to make sure your section line geometry goes all the way across the part. also, if there are breaks in the section line, make sure the sketch segments are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the projection direction.

Thanks TheTick, but no cigar.

The section line goes right thru the whole view. And there are no breaks in the section line. Just to make sure that we are talking about the same annotation, the breaks i had previously described, were a break in the view, due to the view being too long. It was not a break in the section line.

Thanks
