Ok, I had this working great yesterday....but cannot for the life of me get it to work today!!

I created a 'dummy' sketch in an assembly to help drive part sizes. It's just two lines, with dimensions.

D1@Sketch1 and D2@Sketch1

I added these to columns in my design table. Then entered in values for all of the configurations. It worked great! Each config had different sketch dimensions, and all my parts were coming out correct.

Today, I made a new model and used the same technique, and I cannot get it to work. It's set up exactly the same (so I thought). When I put in a value in to the design table the sketch does not change (if I type in 20, the sketch remains 1). However, if I change the dimension on the sketch it updates the design table. I want the model driven off the table....not the model driving the table.

What the heck am I doing wrong today?? Can I please start this day over?? :p

In the Design Table Properties, change the 'Edit Control' to 'Block model edits..."

It is set to "Block model edits that would update the design table".

I'm still unable to update the sketch with the design table. Right now my design table says .25, and the dimension says 5.0

I've even gone as far as shutting down my computer. I thought a restart would help, apparently not.

Restarted solidworks (I didn't when I check the DT properties)....now it's working!
