Hi all, need help on best material for this - need 1 mm (BLACK if possible) stiffener but would prefer it to be flexible so that if it bends it won't break. The pieces we'll use are about 10" x 12" or so.

WE currently use Hi impact Styrene for a few things but my feeling is this may be too rigid (it's to be used as an insert in a bag) - would HDPE be a better choice, or is there something better still?

Thanks in advance,

Lauren

You give no where near enough info for a properly considered answer, but a wild guess at your application and requirements suggests that HDPE or PP might be OK, but then so probably would be nylon or PVC or Polycarbonate or polyester, or ABS or SAN, or cellulosics. PP is probably the cheapest.

chookie.

As I remember, you are in far north Qld.

I think Dotmar have a branch at Cairns or Townsville. You should be able to buy 1mm PP or HDPE sheet from them
