1.Where can I find Heal Geometry in UG NX5?
2.When I cut section(VIEW-OPERATION-SECTION)through asm, it gives section through entire asm.It is possible to cut section through any feature of asm or small area of asm?
Please suggest

1) You can find it at...

File -> Export -> Heal Geometry...

2) After creating your Section View, go to...

Edit -> Views -> Section Components in View...

...select the section view and then select the components that you do not want to be sectioned. If it turns out that you only to section a few of the Components then first set ALL Components as not sectioned (it's much easier to select your components from the Assembly Navigator when using this function) and then go back and select just the ones that you want sectioned. Remember that after each change you will need to Update all the Drawing views to see your changes.

Note that if there are certain Components which you never want to see Sectioned, you can add the following Part Attribute to the Master Part model and Drafting will automatically skip that part when making section views:

SECTION-COMPONENT with the value set to 'NO'

Thanks John.

But I would like to know regarding 3D sections in modeling.
When we cut the section through part or asm, it shows section curves for entire part or asm.
It is possible to crop these curves upto required featue or part.
e.g. when I cut section(view-operation-section) through Dog house or any other plastic attachment like heat stake or bosses of door substarte it gives me section curves of entire substrate. But I require the mating curves asm in the attachment area in order to do fit and finish study (without entering into drafting module)

Sorry, I was thinking of Drawing sections.

There is nothing that we can do for the Dynamic sectioning since this works with respect to what's being displayed and it's an all or nothing sort of thing since the actual images are being created in the display hardware of your workstation and not by the NX software itself, except to the extent that NX define the plane(s) to be cut and which side we expect the 'stuff' to be on.

As for the section curves which are an optional output (if you choose to save them), this is just a 'cheap & dirty' version of...

Insert -> Curves from Bodies -> Section...

...where you have complete control over which objects are included in the section and which are not.

Now if it turns out that you would prefer to use the Dynamic Sectioning to preview what it is that you wish to section and you get it to exactly where you want the section to be, then instead of creating section curves, ask that a Datum plane be created instead (this can be found in the 'Actions' section of the View Section dialog). Once you have a Datum sitting where you want the section, no go to...

Insert -> Curves from Bodies -> Section...

...and perform a normal Section curve creation operation.
