What are the details, pertinent to the issue? A sketch, PFD, or P&ID would be helpful.

Good luck,

Technically, the glass is always full - 1/2 air and 1/2 water.

technically we have more than 15 deodorizers (Batch distillation columns.
basically its edible oil refinery and to minimize the steam consumption we want to install some heat exchanger between them.
the deodorizers are under high vacuum condition (-760 torr)and temp of more than 200 degree celsius.
now the problem is when we try to transfer oil at 200 degree Celsius, oxidation starts rapidly.
we want that kind of heat exchange system that can work under vacuum.
any air contact can oxidizes oil.
plz suggest some kind of heat exchanger.

There needs to be a pressure difference between the vessels or there won't be any flow.
Are you looking for heat recovery or simply to cool the oil?
You could do this with any style of HX really, as long as it was designed for vacuum use.
A welded plate and frame HX might be a good place to start since you are dealing with a food product.

There should be a thermal model (HYSIS, CHEMCAD) developed for the entire process train.

A thermal "pinch analysis" should then be made. Various alternates should be evaluated economically and the best one selected.

A full and extensive HAZOP analysis must be developed

Then and only then can HXs be sized and selected. New pumps and controls may be required.

The OP is a newbie and his boss (who is obviously an MBA) is not going to like hearing about this....
