Why my plate type exchanger in acid gas sweetning unit is leaking always. This is a lean rich exchanger and on the lean side only leak happening.

Process conditions
Localization of the leaks .

Leaks are happening because the gaskets are not compatible with the fluid, or because the unit isn't properly tightened.

Due to acid gas in the amine.
MOC of the exchange is not suitable.
Kindly check the compatibility.

For trouble free operation, use an all welded wide gap plate HX made out of 22Cr duplex SS.
