Hello,

Could you please tell me why I can not apply the heat flux on the external areas of 3D fluid model (element 142).
Ansys can not understand the heat flux in this case, so whenever I hit the solve command, there is warning that the heat flux was applied on invalid boundary area type.
My model uses onlu element 142.
What is my problem and what should I do now?
Thanks so much.

Hi thanhvan
why do you want to apply heatflux on the surfaces of fluid elements. Can you explain your physcial problem. And which version of ansys software are you using for fluid flow analysis?.

Hello Kathik,

I found the solution several days ago, sorry to keep bothering you with this topic.
I want to model the solid heat source inside the fluid region, so that the heat flux is my idea.
The problem is that I forgot to apply the no-slip condition on the walls of the heat source, so Ansys could not understand these walls are the external boundary.
Regards
