heat treating of carbon steel 1040

can u give me a brief description of each microsturcture and the microstructual chage associted with annealing, normalizing,hardening and tempering heat treatment of carbon steel 1040. And include lattices structure changes , carbon solubility,phase transformations and type of microstructure.

Here's a few easy ones to start with (this sure sounds like a college exam question).

Microstructures:

Annealed=pearlite+ferrite

Hardened and tempered=tempered martensite, if you have a thin part and a fast water quench.
 
what is the difference between wrought steel and cast steel?
 
Cast steel is just that-poured from a liquid into a mold.

Wrought steel has been "worked"--mechanically by forging, rolling, etc.
 
can anybody tell me the book for hadenability curves or data for heat treatment of variou materials specially case hardning.
