I'm looking for a valve to replace the cable/lever driven one that controls the flow of coolant through my heater core. I would like something that i can didgitaly control (PWM?). This is for an incar computer setup that i would like to give control to as much of the car as possible (short of driving it, but that would be cool, hehe).

I'm not sure exactly the type of valve i should be looking for, and most of what i have found hasn't looked like it would handle the heat and possible corrosiveness of the coolant. I also don't want to spend $800 on a valve.

Thanks

Gavin.

Why not put a worm drive (or whatever) on the cable, and use a stepper motor, or just a wiper motor. Any car with automatic climate control has solved this problem, just take a walk around a scrap yard to see a thousand solutions (or more likely three solutions a thundred times)

Cheers
