Hello all,

I want to bend a tube around a radius of curvature in one step and then compress the tube in the second step. Is there a way to control a displacement along say, a defined curve? Please see attached picture of the setup I am looking to recreate, with the bending around happening first, and then the two plates top and bottom, compressing secondly.

Any help at all would be appreciated as I am new to using the software.

Thanks in advance!

James

Thank you for your response. Have been looking there and else where for more information and can’t find anything to control displacement around a defined curve.

Thank you,
James.

You have to prescribe the curve at a geometric/reference node that is rigidly connected to one end of the tube. There are other ways as well.
