Hello everybody,
Is there a way to decode the Sundyne part numbers?
for instance, a ball bearings with code of 6205 means a deep groove one 25 mm in diameter(bore).
Is there a same way for Sundyne P/N, for example what does JM71AA202412342 mean?

Thanks,
Pezhman

Yes.

Some parts of the Sundyne Part numbers can be deciphered. The first letters indicate what part it is. The JM suggests it is an impeller. D is a diffuser, HO is a housing, CV is a diffuser cover, JN is an inducer, KE is a key, RKORP is an oring repair kit, SL is a sleeve, SH could be a shaft or a shim, SP is an impeller spacer or a seal spacer, WA is a washer. Your part number does not look right for Sundyne. After the AA, there should be two numbers. Then, there should be two letters for material code (DB for 316 SS). Except for one variation, the last five digits for an impeller part number should be the diameter. If that part of your number is real, it would be a 2.342 inch diameter. For things like orifices, you need a table of values to decode the final orifice diameter from the part number. Sundyne should be willing to provide that to you. If not, I have the table of orifice sizes.

This is a more typical Sundyne Part Number: JM01AA22DB05614 That is a 316 SS impeller cut to 5.614 inch diameter. The AA22 should indicate the number of impeller vanes (8 or 24), but I don't recall how to decipher this part.

Part numbers that start with 20- or 14- are gaskets. It looks like the 20- part numbers are high temperature gaskets or flexitallic gaskets. The ones with 14- are o-rings. You cannot decipher the o-ring size from the part number unless you can get Sundyne to give you a table (and they won't).
