Hello, friends!
In a pressure vessel, we have both internal and external pressures, and the external one caused to have a thicker thickness. To specify hydrostatic pressure we use paragraph 8.2.1 that is directly connected to MAWP. Now, the question is; should I use the new thickness to calculate MAWP and then hydrostatic test pressure?

IMO, the vessel may be recorded and tested as a "new" in the shop for a full vessel thickness.

Isn't that how MAWP works?

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
