Hello. I'm getting ready to try and design my first post-tension slab. It's for a 2-story house with sub-par soil conditions. From what I've understood so far there are 3 ways to design it. I want to use the "Striaght" method (opposed to "Rigorous" or "Load Balancing") because it's simpler and I don't think the cost difference for this small of a project will make much of a difference.
I'm looking for...
A) Good design reference material. (Besides the ACI)
B) any advice of things to not overlook, or common mistakes that could be made.
C) Any recommendations on inexpensive design software.
D) Any comments in general or questions you may have for me to help me determine if I'm ready to take on this task or not.
Thanks everyone in advance
