Help identifuying soil

Hi, have you guys seen anything similar and/or have any idea what kind of soil is that?

It does feel like clay, really sticky one. What would make it so black? Organics?
 
need more information, where in the world is it from, does is smell of hydrocarbons?, is it easy to break apart, what happens when you wet it?

Could be weathered Anthricite? But if there was any chance of that being true you would find it in your local geological information.
 
Blue color usually due to being below the water table permanently. Likely somewhat organic also.
