If you are using AK2K or above you can use visual lisp IDE (itegrated development enviornment) to compile your code into a .fas file. This will protect your code. To find out how to use the compiler, under help(insde the visual lisp editor) look up compile.
hope this helps

There are also simpler and less effective protection programs such as 'kelvinator.exe' and 'protect.exe'
They will work on most recent versions (AutoCAD 12 onwards).
You can probably get them from Cadalog.com

I have many questions.... and responses....

You wrote a program by AutoLisp.
1- You need to protect??
Use Visual Lisp from AutoCad 200x for generate a FAS file.
If you use Protect and Kelvinator, your protection is poor... a Decrypt program can turn the file unprotected.

2- Your file show "AutoLisp Protect...." and can not read by Notepad???
Then you probably use Protect to encrypt the file, then use Decrypt.exe (found at Cadalog.com) to turn your file decrypted and readable.
