What kind of lock / voltage are you looking at? There are plenty of electreical door latches on the market, but which one you need will depend greatly on the nature of what you have to work with.

Here's one for industrial enclosures. They take a 120 or 230V pulse, so whether or not you have that and how you would control that via a PC is a separate issue. But chances are, someone makes a version of something like this with a built-in low energy control signal interface. Just don't expect to find one that can be POWERED by a PC output. Large solenoid circuits are not something you want to power via sensitive electronics.

A bit late coming to the party but usually how we've done this in the past is having the PC "talk" to an interface (intermediate) PCB which sends a signal (pulse) to the latch. Of course this would mean having to create a PCB or finding an equivalent already available.

You can also talk to a PLC via a PC which I've done before but it's quite complicated for the sake of opening a latch.
