Hello everyone.

I am doing some renderings for our R&D dept. and have come across a problem I thought you might be of some help with.

I have imported a .jpg image into my workspace. This image is then attached to the top of a disc. Worked fine all day on Friday, managed some nice renderings etc. Closed down, opened up today, everytime I try to open that part (in shaded mode) or any assembly using that part, Pro/E shuts down and creates a dump file. If I switch-off "enable textures" in the model display settings I can open it and work with it with no problems. Is this a known bug, is there a workaround??

Thanks for your help,
Lee

Lee,

What build/date code are you using? I would also check PTC's website for any reported bugs.

You can try the config option

display wireframe

in config.pro

see if that helps. otherwise try to find an older prt.? version before the .jpg was added.

Hi all, thanks for your response.

I seem to have fixed the problem, but I'm not sure which change I made sorted it out.

1. Changed the .jpg extension to .tx3.
2. Created unique folder for this and other images in my UNIX home directory.
3. Put unique texture_search_path into my config.pro that points to the folder in 2 above.

Now opens, revolves etc without problem.
