Help (solid-shell models)

Hello, my name is William Gomzaba, I´m from Colombia.
Can anyone help with my investigation, I want to simulate a Composite Slab (laminate steel deck - concrete). How can I connect shell elements with solid? ... Why the shell mesh overlap with the solid mesh?... Can anyone explain me this with detail ?... I will be so grateful. I want to do this creating a skin, please help me.

Generally you can try to use Shell-To-Solid coupling in the "Interaction Module".
