Hi everyone!
I have a starter gear ring from Toyota engine and want to replicate it like a custom flexplate (not welded but machined from a solid peace of metall) for my custom project (some kind of garage inventions [glasses]).
The original partnumber is 13453-20010 if it could help, the outer diameter is about 294.3 mm and the tooth count is 115.
Some shops (like Sonnax) offers this ring gears from a website and they specify a diametral pitch 10 in a product properties, so thats the only one clue I can find in Internet pages.

So I want to find a tooth profile parameters for Toyota starter ring gear (they use a 13453-20010 in many engines like 2JZ/3RZ/etc all around the world) but I'm not sure that Sonnax information is correct. I find an ISO standards: ISO 8123, ISO 9457-1, ISO 9457-2 which explain a parameters of starter pinion, not the starter ring gear and also find that some car manufactures use a Fellows Tooth Stub profile (dual pitch - a little bit different from an ordinary diametral pitch). I also have a starter from original Toyota engine, the pinion has 9 tooth and about 29.5 mm outer diameter. I also buy a special tools to measure a tooth thickness and a base tangent length.

What should I do next to find a tooth profile?

Thank you for reply, Greg!

The standards I mentioned are reviewed and confirmed about a couple of years ago, and the j543_199511 reviewed last time at 1995, so I think it's outdated for modern vehicles. I think that I can not find the correct numbers for gear cutting, but I want to find a guide to measure a tooth profile for starter ring gear.

I try to use a CAD programs to modeling a gears with ISO 8123, ISO 9457-1, ISO 9457-2 standards, but gear meshing in my models looks weird.

Hopefully I suppose that someone in this forum knows what tooth profile use Toyota for their engines.
