Hi I have a problem with weldments.

I want to relocate a structural member profile. When I try to do this the pointer won't snap correctly to the sketch points or vertices in the sketch so that the profile can be moved. sometimes i can see 1 or to vertices or points become highlighted with mouse over. but sometimes that is when the mouse is a couple of inches away. I have tested this on 2 other computers and it works fine, they both had SP0. I tried it on my installation with SP 0 and SP 3 and it did not work. Does anybody have CLUE as to whats causing this???? Its making the structural members feature useless on my machine!!

Most likely a graphics card and/or driver problem.
What are you using?

Could also be a mouse problem.

is it just that one file or it happens on all the files?

If it is all the files, it can be graphics driver issue, try updating the graphics driver from SolidWorks website. first question, Is your graphics card certified?

I've seen a similar issue where a point couldn't be picked through the preview transparency. Try one of two things:

1.) try and select the points from the other side of the sketch profile, i.e. rotate to the bottom of the model and try again.

2.) Make sure the select through transparency is enabled, i've seen with this too.

thanks guys, I just updated my driver and it worked awesome. It slipped my mind because my computer was right out of the box. I guess it must of been sitting in there for a while!
