I have an application where I need a 24VDC motor that is undamaged by voltages from 20 to 30 VDC and will sustain 185°F ambient. It also has to fit my current mounting provisions of 3.125in diameter, 4.88in body length. The motor I have now is rated 100oz.in. torque, 1/4 HP, 3350 RPM @ no load.
I have checked with some manufacturers with no luck so far. Any help is appreciated.

Check with the people that supply the marine interest as I have a motor that is approximately your size on an electric fishing reel. It's 12V, but when I purchased it they had 32V motors.
The company that made the reels is no longer around and I can't find an exposed nameplate on the motor. Also there used to be a lot military surplus motors the ran on 28V. We ran a lot of these on 32V, very common on Gulf Fishing boats. I'll look around this weekend.

Hello,

We manufacture a number of motors with the 3.125 OD requirement you are looking for. These can be made available with the 24VDC requriement and torque that you are looking for.

Are you looking for low or high volumes? or onesies twosies?......

We do have other divisions that manufacture 24VDC product, and with the height requriement you are looking for.

Thank you all three for your help. I am going through the Thomas Register and surplusmotors.com websites a little at a time and I am sending emails for more information from potential suppliers. I will let you know how this turns out.
Thanks again.

Thanks unclesyd,
I emailed Micromo a few hours ago while looking at the surplusmotor.com website. I described the application I have and I am waiting for a reply.
Their motors look to have the qualities I need.
Thanks again
