This follows my post in thread378-147910 ( Interpreting a flow curve) . I would like to know how I can generate a system flow curve for a 4 channel parallel circuit. The pressure drops across the four parallel sections are assumed to be the same.
As explained in the above thread, I took one section on its own and found the flow curve for that section. Then I superimposed the pump curve assuming flow gets divided into four. The pump curve was generated by dividing the flow rates by four and plotting it against the same pressure drop. I have had responses from Bulkhandling asking me to take the pump as the important unit and generating the flow curve for the whole system rather than one channel.
Is there any size requirement for the delivery line piping especially where the flow splits into four?
This is the first time I am doing anything related to piping and fluid mechanics, I am a manufacturing engineer. Therefore please excuse my ignorance :)

You may need to hire a engineer with pumping or hydraulic background.

By the way, it does not sound ethical to post the same thing in different threads.

Bulkhandling, I apologize if I did something unethical. The only intention was to bring the post up to the top so that people can notice it. I also wanted people to know that it was posted before which was why I provided a link to the original question. This posting has no relevance without the original posting. I even mentioned your name in this posting so as to acknowledge your response. It is only my second day in this forum and I sincerely apologize if I broke the rules.
I appreciate your help with the responses. Also noted the point about the hydraulic engineer. I work for a university and therefore I am unable to suggest to hire people. Further I am keen to learn and I find forums like these a great way to interact with experts who have had the privilege to work on many interesting projects. The fact that they are willing to share their knowledge on forums like these shows their committment to their area of expertise. Once again apologies....

Each time when you responded a thread, you brought the thread to the top. Suggest you end this one and continue on the other one.
