Help with units conversion 1

Hi,

I am not great at converting units and I dont want to make any mistakes. I need to convert the units of CO2 emissions per kWh of electricity (gCO2/kWh) of certain countries to tCO2/GJ. And then to tonsCO2eq.

Could you help me with the following example?
e.g. Spain CO2 emissions per kwh of electricity = 280 gCO2/kWh
= tCO2/GJ?
= tonsCO2eq?

Google offers calculations involving multiple units.

Google: 280 g per kWh in tons per GJ

Result: 280 grams / kilowatt hour =
0.0857 us ton / gigajoule

Beware US ton, vs. tonne

Notice how I removed the extraneous elements (e.g. "CO2") leaving only those parts needed by Google to perform the conversion.

Google Calculator doesn't need to know the topic to convert multiple units, as long as both sides balance; here it's mass (or weight) per unit energy.

The final step doesn't work, for this exact reason. Tons of CO2 Equivalent is merely a mass of CO2 including other emissions weighted by some calculation.

You'd have to know the other emissions, and judge how to convert them to CO2 Equivalent. Due to lifetime in the atmosphere, it's a non-trivial and arbitrary conversion.

And of course, there's no 'per unit energy' in the final request.
