Dear all,
I am performing a structural analysis in which I impose a combination of loading (tension, bending and torsion) to a studless anchor chain link. My analysis involves looking at two half chain links, with a full chain link in between and in contact by contact elements. To generate a hex mesh of the half chain links, I use the VSWEEP command, which works fine as I specify the start and finish area. The problem lies in the hex meshing of the full chain link as it is not possible to specify the starting or end area with the VSWEEP command as the chain link does not have a beginning or end. Does anybody know how to perform this kind of hex meshing?
Your help is much appreciated.
Best regards,
