Hi All,

Does any one has experience with 3D scanning with scan express scan box(laser scanning)?
My CMM result and the scan box result are not co relating. scanbox results always more than the CMM results.
Laser scanner uses the spray on the measuring surfaces, looks that is accountable for the error. If any one share their experience would be highly appreciated,

The probes are calibrated every morning with the std sphere and the laser scanner calibrated with given reference points. Both are passing.
The discrepancy is 0.012mm to 0.02mm in 9mm diameter cylinder.

Well, the spray has a thickness. And since you're measuring diameter you'll measure two times that thickness.

The two measurements are done back-to-back in the same room, correct?
You spray the standard pieces and then measure them on both machines, correct?
