Hi Engineers,
I have a small question with respect to the application HDPE+Hexane. Recommended piping plan is 32(hexane flush)+52. Can you explan in me why are we using hexane media as flushing to avoid particles. What is the advantages of it.

Normally Hexane is not recommended as Buffer/ Barrier fluid.
It is low viscosity and low boiling point solvent.
Buffer fluid should be compatible with process fluid. If Hexane is used as buffer fluid , it automatically is compatible.
Probably this is the reason of selecting Hexane as buffer fluid.

Using hexane as a flushing media in HDPE piping systems is advantageous because it effectively dissolves and removes contaminants, particles, and residues from the pipe's interior. This helps maintain the purity of the conveyed fluids and ensures smooth operation. Hexane's solvent properties reduce the risk of residual contamination and blockages, enhancing system performance. Additionally, hexane is compatible with HDPE, making it a suitable choice for cleaning and flushing purposes in these applications.
