Hi Everyone,
Can somebody from this forum provide me with some guidelines for preservation plan for a 2 stages liquid ring vacuum pump. I assume, it can be pretty much the same preservation plan for any type rotating equipment.
My background is not precisely rotating equipment, and I need to provide some recommendations.
Previous experiences revealed that a liquid ring vacuum pump stored in the warehouse could NOT get back in service due to internal damages.
I am trying not repeat that experience and your help will e really appreciated.

Thanks in advance for our support

Hi IRstuff,
The pump was stuck, It was not able to rotate easily as expected.
Is there any standard or best engineering practice that may help?
Regards

Find the pump make and model and download the operating manual.

Most will have sections on how to lay the pump up and store it or if not ask the manufacturer.

Liquid ring you need to drain and dry it and maintain that dryness using desiccant bags and sealing very well.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Here is an article that briefly explains the pump
