if theres is an API Plan 54
API Plan 54 is Pres­sur­ized external barrier fluid system sup­ply­ing clean liquid for an arrange­ment 3 pres­sur­ized dual seal. The barrier liquid is main­tained at a pressure greater than seal chamber pressure and is cir­cu­lated by an external pump or pressure system. and we have some leakage from the external fluid to the process fluid.

we use dowtherm Q as process fluid and à mineral oil as barrage fluid at 200°c

I'm sorry, the question is:
If there is a leak from the barrier fluid to the process fluid, this will create a chemical reaction and we will had a the blockage in the process pipeline or not.

Please don't double post - george has given a good response in the petroleum engineering forum.

Your barrier fluid needs to be inert with your process fluid as it is designed to leak some small amounts. It shouldn't block your process pipe.
