Hi. We are doing a Hysys simulation of a structured packing column. Our packing is Mellapak 2X from Sulzer. However, Hysys does not include this Mellapak in the packing choices. Could you advice which packing is similar to this one to choose the correct packing in our simulation? Thanks in advance!

Why not use SULCOL software?

There is certain similarity with 2Y packing but I would prefer to perform the simulation in SULCOL (if 2X is available in the list of internals), or try to create a custom structured packing in HYSYS with parameters from Mellapak 2X curves.

Is asking Sulzer for a quotation an option for you?
