Hi everyone,

I have an assembly that I have done a isometrical view from. I would like to know if I can choose some of the hidden parts to be visible? I want them to be shown with hidden lines. If I go to properties for that view and turn on hidden lines then everything that was not visible before will be shown with hidden lines. I just want some parts to be shown. Is that possible?

As far as I know, you need to have all hidden lines displayed, then delete the one you don't want to see.
Also be careful when the view is updated following a geometry change!

Use the Overload Properties. From here you can specify the display of each and every part in your assembly.

Sorry...but I am maybe blind but I can´t find this Overload Properties. I have tried to search in the Help but without luck. Where do I find this function? I am using R14.

Hi,

You can find Overload Properties if you Rigth-click on the view and select "View Namne" object/Overlad Properties.

As Akesson says, right click on the view to access Overload Properties. Then select the part that you want to change. you can then change the individual display characteristics for that part within that view.

Hi,
You can not only hide/show parts, but also change to different color/linetype. You can also select your parts from within drafting mode or from the assembly model. This is esspecially usefull when you have assemblies within assemblies, usually if you select from drafting it only selects one part model at a time, not the assembly.
