Hi,

I am making drafting of my parts in NX 7.5. However, for some parts I chamfered the edges for a nice look in my assembly but I don't want to see them in my drafting because it overwhelms everything. Is there somewhere a preferences that I can change to hide these double lines? I can also hide them in my model but then I have to show them every time for my assembly.

Thanks,

Steven

A chamfer results in a hard edge on the model, this falls under the jurisdiction of the 'visible' edge setting in the drafting view. There is no way for the drafting application to automatically distinguish and remove hard edges resulting from a chamfer command. Probably the best you can do is a 'view dependent edit'. If you search the help files and/or this forum you will quickly learn how to do this along with some pro's and con's that come with it.

Oke, I will look for it! Thanks for the fast and clear response.

Question: are the chamfers required to be scene? May a gerneral note would make your's and NX's life a lot easier.
