I just changed over to civil series 2004, I am having a problem with the hatch pattern "sand", or any other patern with "dots" in them, when i plot or hide on the screen the dots dissapear. My other problem is at the same time the civil points we use are hiding the points when point style is on "dot". Anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem. I was hoping to stay with 3d faces since 6 years of jobs and all our blocks contin them. Help!

thanks

I don't have this problem with AutoCAD R2004.
Do you have a small drawing that exhibits the problem you could email? Are the points on layer DefPoints?

Give me your e-mail and I will send a drawing with the hatch and blocks causing the problems. The points are not on defpoints, if you explode the hatch they are poly lines with no length it is hatch pattern AR-SAND and the block is the civil object block, linetype dot. all dissapear when you type in hide.

wicker - try davidrATfastDOTnet (replace the CAPS with punctuation)

wicker,

I'm not sure, maybe You are working in the wrong viewmode. Try "_shademode"-> _hide...

Mail the *.dwg to...-> Profile

Try SHADEMODE 3, then Hide.
Did that help?

I have tried that it works good on screen but still hides on plotter
