Hello all,

I am running Nx 9.0.3.4 MP2 in native mode. I was working in an assembly and hid a part so it would be easier to add other parts to my assembly. I clicked on the red check mark and hid the part. Later after several more parts were added and several saves made I turned the red check back on and to my horror my part is still hidden. I have checked my arrangements making sure that I did not accidentally suppress the part, I have checked to be sure that I did not turn a layer off by accident and I tired reopening the part in question. If I make the hidden part the displayed part it shows perfectly. No matter what I do I can not get my part to re-appear. Any thoughts? I had this happen to me once before in a very small assembly and the only way I could get my part back was to delete it and re-add the part back into my assembly and update my constraints. I do not want to do that procedure this time as this part is a major component and would basically mean I am starting over. I am grateful for any suggestions.

Are we talking about when working on a Drawing or as just a normal Assembly file?

Are these Components part of a sub-assembly?

After performing the 'Show' operation on the Component, did it change the Component item from 'grayed-out' to normal text display in the Assembly Navigator?

Have you tried to do a Display Regeneration after trying to 'Show' a Component?

Have you tried to do a Display Regeneration after trying to 'Show' a Component? Yes and that did nothing.

Perhaps the clipping planes were modified while working with the other components. Try turning on all the components (red check marks) then use View -> operation -> fit (or use the keyboard shortcut [kbd]Ctrl[/kbd] + [kbd]F[/kbd]). This will recalculate the view clipping planes and zoom in to the model to fill the display.

If the above doesn't work, perhaps the solid body of your component is hidden (blanked). Make sure all the layers are turned on, then go to Edit -> show and hide -> show... If the body of your component shows up here, select it and press OK.

It may be something more esoteric like a "layer visible in view" issue, but I'd suggest starting with the above.

Cowski,

that you for the suggestion. By going to eidt > show and hide > show all brought my part back. Thanks again
