Hiding Detail View Circle

I have taken a section view of an assembly and selected "display only cut faces".
Then I have then created a detail view from that section.

I want to hide the outline of the detail view where it does not cut the visible bodies in the section view.
As far as I'm aware, this should be as simple as de-selecting the "full outline" option in the detail view.
Toggling this option makes no difference at all. Its always a full circle.

This is using SW09 SP3

If there isnt a way of doing it in SW, I will have to resort to MS Paint.

Thanks

It's possible your detail circle may be intersecting your model at a point where it has trouble finding a true edge.

Have you tried slightly tweaking the detail circle, or even use a different geometry (rectangle, etc) to make the detail view?

Are you using the Connected Detail Circle style? If so, that is why. All other styles allow a non-full-circle outline.

Thanks for the replies.
I am using the "No Leader" Detail Circle Style.
I have tied tweaking the circle/ rectangle with varying degrees of success.
The section view I have taken is simple so I can't see any issues with it finding a true edge.
If I uncheck the "display only cut faces" option, the view becomes quite complex.
It appears that the detail circle is drawn based on the full geometry of the section, rather than only the visible geometry?

Can you upload your drawing (save as a detached drawing in case you want to upload the drawing only without SW parts and assembly) or any screen shot showing the options and view.
