High reduction rolling - Boundary conditions problem

Hello,

I would like to simulate a rolling situation where we are doing a reduction on a 25mm x 240mm strip on to the 4 mm of thickness.

In practise the rollers would have their own drive, so I used frictionless contact interaction between roller and strip.

I am experiencing a problem with setting up the BC, because of the rather high material flow that needs to be push forward out of the rolls, and is not pushing forward it gets stuck in front of the rolls.

Any ideas oon proper BC or is the system not gut for solving in Abaqus?

You either push or drag your part or you model 360° rollers, rotate them and add friction.

Yes, thanks I figured it out, that i was missing a key component, friction!:)

And I used predefined field in inital stage as velocity that drove my profile on to the rolls.

thanks!
