I am interested in researching air conditioning units that account for high sensible, low latent cooling.
Does anyone out there know of any major companies that deal with this issue? Energy recovery wheels or heat pipes are not an option since outside air is not usually available.
Thanks for any replies.

Can you provide any more detail about your particular application? Normally the concern is the other way around. Is the application for comfort cooling of people or equipment cooling?
Low latent cooling generally can only be achieved by high refrigerant temperatures (ie where the coil adp is not too much less than the air on temp), and hence a high air flow rate is required to deliver the required enthalpy change.

the precision airconditioning units made for
computer room use are almost 100% sensible cooling.
the telecoms exchanges also feature almost 100%
sensible cooling since the heat is all electrical
and there is usually no one in the space.
in the semiconductor industry they use dry coils
to handle the sensible heat, the dry coils use
chilled water which is higher temp than the dewpoint,
eg the dewpoint is 8degC and handled by the fresh
air units while the dry coils use 12~16degC water.

blowing air fast over the coils prevents most of
the condensation, the air has no time to reach
dewpoint. also the dx coils can be set to
operate at higher temps for the sensible cooling
applications.
